Infosys born again

The Infosys board on Saturday decided to rechristen Infosys Technologies Ltd. as Infosys Ltd.“The Infosys brand is so strong that that we would like to rename the company as Infosys Limited,” Mr. Gopalakrishnan explained. He said the fact that the company's operations in a range of businesses — from consulting to business process outsourcing — across the world, has given it a strong brand value. “The name change is part of our vision 3.0 for the company,” he remarked, referring to the third stage of the company's evolution.
