Government will conduct a new survey for listing Below Poverty Line families. Talking to reporters in New Delhi on Thursday, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh conceded that there are lapses in the present system and many bogus names are included in the BPL list. He said that the new survey to be started from June this year will ensure that there are no discrepancies in the list. The Minister added that new procedure will be combined with the caste based survey.
